Our kids classes are designed to teach children self-defense, discipline, and respect. They also get a lot of exercise and have a lot of fun!
ATA Tigers is a program designed specifically for children ages 4 to 6. This program develops self-confidence, increases hand-eye coordination, and improves their attention span. Classes are designed to improve children’s motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions.
MPMA wants to be your child’s first community. We encourage “shy” kids to find their voices and have the patience to help “high-energy” kids find their focus. They will build friendships and learn how to be respectful of instructors and fellow students.
Students in our traditional martial arts Tigers classes undergo a graduation at two month intervals. This provides a chance for the student to practice setting and achieving goals as well as demonstrating their progress for family, friends, and peers. Taekwondo students are required to wear a traditional uniform or other approved MPMA gear. (Ask us about receiving a free uniform as a new student.) MPMA does have some safety equipment available for students to borrow, but if your student intends to participate in sparring you will want to purchase them their own mouth guard.
